3Child data and parent authorisation

• Information relating to a child must be provided by a parent, lawful guardian or appropriately authorised professional.
• SessionMate workflows are designed to support verifiable parent or guardian authorisation before processing a child’s personal data.
• The DPDP framework treats a person under 18 as a child and requires verifiable parental consent, subject to applicable exceptions.

4Responsible use of AI

SessionMate uses AI to assist with:

• Screening summaries
• Recommended goals
• IEP and therapy-planning suggestions
• Worksheets and progress insights

• AI-generated outputs support, but do not replace, professional judgement
• SessionMate does not independently diagnose a child

5Data sharing and protection

• SessionMate does not sell children’s personal data.
• We do not use child-development records for targeted advertising.
• Information may be shared only with authorised users and approved service providers where required to operate the platform.
• Reasonable access controls, security monitoring and data-protection safeguards are used to protect personal information.
• The DPDP Act restricts behavioural monitoring and targeted advertising directed at children.

6User rights and deletion

• Authorised users may request access to, correction, updating or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.
• Account or child-record deletion requests may be submitted through the registered email address to contact@sessionmate.ai.

7Personal information we collect

When you visit Session Mate, we automatically collect device and usage details such as:

• Time zone and cookies installed on your device
• Pages or products you view
• Websites or search terms that referred you to the Site
• How you interact with the Site

We refer to this automatically-collected information as Device Information.
